Originally, I trained as a mathematician and worked as an academic at Imperial College, Queen Mary University, Tallinn Technical University and Universiti Malaya. Then, when our son was born, I gave up university life and became a homemaker in Kuala Lumpur, Geneva, Copenhagen and now London.
In the forests of Malaysia, I discovered the joys of technical tree climbing, which has become my main professional activity. I began teaching other people to climb in Switzerland and then organised climbing activities at schools in Denmark, where there is a large tree climbing community.In England, I've been freelancing for tree climbing companies that run events around the South and am currently setting up a Community Interest Company to promote tree climbing in and around East London.
